Epitourean is a Denver, Colorado based online travel company that is dedicated to creating the most memorable culinary trips you can imagine. And that's just the point...you dream up the vacation, and we provide the tools that allow you to point-and-click your way to epicurean destinations designed to satisfy even the most discerning bon vivant.
How did we come up with the name? We combined Epicurean (having luxurious tastes, and devoted to the pursuit of fine food and drink) with Tour (a trip with visits to various places of interest)...and arrived at Epitourean!
Epitourean is a privately held company, established in late 2006 by the founders of Groople, the Internet's leading online group travel company.
What is Culinary Tourism?
Culinary tourism is defined as experiential travel, including local, domestic, and international tours, whereby one learns about and/or consumes food and drink reflecting a region's cuisine and/or culture. According to the Travel Industry Association of America, over 27 million Americans engaged in some form of culinary tourism over the past three years, including gourmet excursions, guided culinary tours and/or cooking classes.

In addition, Epitourean will invite users and venues alike to submit cooking videos ala YouTube to share with people throughout the world.
