Cook up a Southwestern Feast
and Taste Your Way Through Santa Fe!

Escape to Santa Fe – a vibrant locale with a longstanding cultural heritage that has led it to be known as ‘The City Different’. Located in the foothills of the southern Rocky Mountains, Santa Fe is a city rich in history, arts, recreation, culture, and hospitality. And with an average of 300 sunny days a year, Santa Fe draws visitors from all over the world to explore and experience this unique Southwestern environment. Santa Fe is a food lover's paradise. The first question you will be asked when dining on its famous Southwestern cuisine is "red or green?" This refers to the kind of chile you would like served over enchiladas, chile rellenos or other staples of New Mexican fare. With an annual festival devoted to wine and chile, Santa Fe is a culinary capital. During your special culinary getaway to this enchanting destination, you’ll enjoy two nights of resort accommodations, a three-hour hands-on cooking class focused on authentic New Mexican cuisine, and a two-hour guided tour of the historic downtown plaza area with entrance to the famous Loretto Chapel (as long as there isn’t a wedding in progress). Don’t forget to experience the best of the city’s considerable art scene found around every corner!

With its rich culinary history, Santa Fe serves as a Mecca for "foodies" worldwide and Chef and Cooking School Director, Johnny Vee, is no exception. Day 2
Guided Historic Downtown Walking Tour
Santa Fe is the nation’s oldest capital city, founded in 1610. For the past four hundred years, Santa Fe has been a converging point for the Pueblo, Spanish and Anglo people. It was a major stop on many historic trails including the Camino Real, the Spanish Trail, the Old Santa Fe Trail and Route 66. This two-hour downtown walking tour will introduce you to the capital’s most historic district, oldest adobe buildings and entrance to the Loretto Chapel. Beginning at 10 AM in the morning, this is a wonderful introduction to the City of Santa Fe, and a great way to work up an appetite for lunch. You’ll find many restaurants in and around the historic square. (Please keep in mind that lunch is not included in the walking tour).

Santa Fe, New Mexico
Our Condo at Fort Marcy Condos was very nice and it was the perfect location from which one could easily go into the plaza area. I would suggest you spend an extra night or two so that you can really immerse yourself in the delightful city. Fort Marcy was able to accommodate us with the same condo for extra nights. Our food tour guide, Carlos, was great and he introduced us to many excellent restaurants. The samples we were given on the tour were hardy and we did not have to eat lunch. The cooking class with Johnny Vee was a lot of fun and everyone was able to participate in hands-on preparation of the dinner. He is an excellent chef, teacher and has a great personality
